Team Avengers was created in 2003 by Coach Jet Thornton and his son Master Taylor Thornton. This new competition team
was created to give fighters competing in Olympic Style Tae Kwon Do, the opportunity to train and compete at the State and National
level, with the complete support of Coaches, Staff, and Parents. An Olympic level program was born, gone were the days of
talented atheletes being limited by finances or the lack of consistant training. With the help of several Coaches and Masters,
from many different fighting disciplines, Coach Jet succeeded in developing an aggressive, "Full Tilt Style" of offensive
fighting, far removed from the more defensive styles of traditional Korean Olympic style sparring.
In late 2004, having fought many hard battles, both on and off the competition floor, Coach Jet recognized
that although many of his fighters had shown promise at the National level, there was a need for a new program, designed specifically
for his fighters wishing to not just compete on the National Stage, but to be trained and prepared both physically and
mentally, to Fight and Win at the World Elite, and Olympic level. Only through constant exposure to National level
competition would they gain the experience needed to find an EDGE over the competition. This new team would be composed of
BLACKBELT level fighters who not only showed talent, but also showed an unrelenting desire to train and sacrafice anything
to be given the chance to fight for OLYMPIC GOLD. In 2005, they would become....
"ELITE AVENGERS."
